Reminder: Spring Enrichment Enrollment Open Now through February 1, 2019
The Montlake Elementary Spring 2019 After-School Enrichment Program is open for registration! We have many returning programs as well as a few exciting new programs, such as soccer and yoga, so now is the time to get your child(ren) enrolled. Some of these programs have registration minimums and will be canceled if that minimum is not met, and we would hate to see that happen.
We will be using 6crickets (https://www.6crickets.com/) as our registration portal.
Please sign up before February 1st. The majority of classes start on February 4th.
Legislative Update: Vote Yes on Propositions 1 & 2!
Your own Montlake Elementary PTA has endorsed the two levies coming up on the Feb 12, 2019 ballot and contributed $100 from the PTA budget toward SchoolsFirst to help support the levy campaign.
The building excellence levy (BEX V) will provide our students with healthier and safer buildings and improved technology.
The educational programs and operations levy (EP&O) levy bridges the funding gap for critical support staff such as nurses, librarians, counselors, family support workers, and more.
Neither Levy is new! Property taxes will remain near current levels if the levies are both funded.
Please vote for Propositions 1 & 2 by February 12.

Montlake Auction Save the Date: March 16, 2019
It’s that time of year! Our annual Auction in support of Montlake Elementary School is fast approaching, and we need MANY hands to make it a successful event! Along with the Annual Fund, proceeds from the Auction sustain vital programs at Montlake Elementary that are not funded by the State or school district, including our full-time Art program, our counselor, our Greenhouse and Garden program, classroom tutors to support personalized instruction, and many more.
This year’s Auction will take place on the evening of Saturday, March 16, 2019, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (2100 Boyer Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112). Our theme for this year is We Are One: one community / one family / one love. You’ll soon be receiving an official invitation, but in the meantime, please save the date!
If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to volunteer for the school or PTA this year, we invite you to consider signing up to help with this event. There are a variety of opportunities to help out, including many that do not require significant time commitments (but are essential all the same!) Volunteering is a fun and easy way to increase your involvement with your school community and build relationships with other school families. Please visit http://bit.ly/montlakeauction19 for a list of available volunteer opportunities. And don’t hesitate to contact us at the e-mail address below with any questions you may have.
Thank you for your consideration!
