The Montlake PTA recognizes the impacts of recent events and the history of racial violence on our community. We stand in alignment with our Seattle Council PTSA, which has asked that students, families and school leaders work together to demand action against police brutality and the immediate cessation of victimization of our Black and Brown students and families. We are grateful to have a continued partnership with our own Montlake Equity & Inclusion team who is focused on racial equity within our community and Seattle Public Schools.

Montlake is probably one of the safest places for our children to be right now but we all still have many questions,  including what happens if there is a case of covid at Montlake, what is the SPS contact tracing and notification policy, what constitutes a 'covid outbreak,' and what happens if there is an outbreak.  Click below to learn more about contract tracing and what happens if there is a case at an SPS school.

Wondering what forms to turn in and fees to pay?  The PTA has put together a checklist of tasks parents and caregivers need to complete at the start of the year.

Parent To-Do List

The Montlake PTA is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment for all families. We provide opportunities for families to connect with other families through social gatherings and parent education events throughout the school year. We help families to stay informed about issues that impact our school (and Seattle Public Schools), and help parents to become knowledgeable and effective advocates for our children.

We support students and teachers through our annual grant to the school, which helps to fund some of the amazing programs that our students enjoy, and scholarships to make sure all students can participate. We’re always looking for volunteers, so let us know if you have skills in any area that you can share! We look forward to getting to know you!
